Misty - 365+1

Suzie gave us a choice of prompts today as she though there would be nowhere misty today - wrong!  When I got home the mist was coming down over the hills and woods.

This is the card I made for my younger son's birthday, it may look familiar as I featured it in my layout for 23rd February 'It's in the detail'

Clouds - 365+1

Noshay - A Witch in Love
A bit of messing with this photo taken tonight turned it into a stormy sky and brough in some atmospheric black crows - hee hee!

Ordinary - 365+1

Joyful Heart Designs - La Boheme
I found 'Ordinary' a really difficult prompt, so you are getting a picture of my ordinary desk as it usually is, with the tv guide, remote controls pencils and bits of paper scattered around! That's pretty normal or ordinary.

Abstract - 365+1

Abstract Painting by Judy Bass, photo mask Butterflies & Bluebells - Art blends
I've put my watermark over this layout, because this a print of an original painting by my neighbour, Judy Bass.  I'll be using my watermark more, as I have been reading about what has happened to some people's photographs when they re pinned on Pinterest.  I use Pinterest and am now being more careful about how I pin to make sure that there is a link back to the original source.  You can read more about this HERE

Handbag - 365+1

Pixel Geek for Scrap Orchard - TGIF (Thank Goodness I'm Female)

Suzie's prompt today is to reveal what is in your handbag.  I've given you a quick peek inside.  Mainly the usual things, purse, cards, phone, pen tissues and not so usual, two boxes of contact lenses!  They are in there as I have to take them back and get them changed for something a little stronger and if I don't have them in my bag now, I'll forget them on Saturday!

Friendship - 365+1

Kit - Tami Miller, Sisters at Heart
I was struggling to think what I would take for this prompt.  Not that I don't have any friends just that they are not accessible in the evening when I have my camera.  However, on the eve of Valentine's day, which we don't celebrate, I have to say that my husband is my best friend, so here we are holding hands.  I'm really pleased with the way this layout turned out, the laugh is the title of the kit - Sisters at Heart!

Blast from the Past - 365+1

I coloured the paper myself using the colours of the Chelsea Girl logo, edging is Jbolt 'Glenda' recoloured.
Today's prompt is to photograph something from your past.  I bought these beads in Chelsea Girl, in 1975, I thought I was so sophisticated.  They are still in amongst my many strings of beads, I rarely throw out costume jewellery as it tends to come back into fashion!

365+1 - Portrait

Suzie's gone a bit soppy on us the last couple of days, the Valentine hype must be going to her head!  Anyway, today's prompt is 'Portrait of someone you love'.  My someone was busy doing other things today so I had to use one from last summer when we were in the Lake District.  Karen Schultz's kit - 'The Artist in Me' was perfect for this portrait prompt!

365+1 - Fence

Snickerdoodle  Designs - Outside my window
There was no way I could get a fence photo today as it was dark by the time I got home.  So I'm using one I took at the weekend, you can see the fence at the end of the burn.  The 'fences' at the front of the layout are purely digital!

365+1 - Packaging

Scrap Orchard - Confetti & Cupcakes

1st Birthday Card

It's our grandson's first birthday today, it's hard to believe that he is a year old and walking already.  He is such a delight and one is a brilliant age so much discovery and a new skill learned every week.

The papers came from a kit I bought from the Bubbly Funk Shoppie Shop it's a baby boy kit.  I cut the squares and stitched them together in a patchwork.  I didn't have a big enough #1 so cut one from chipboard myself and covered it with paper.

Valentine Fairy Slippers

I am entering these fairy slippers for the Virtual Valentine Craft & Bake 2012 which is being run by Jacqueline at Cakeboule.  I cutting it rather fine as the deadline is today, 4th February!

The pattern for the slippers was in the Dec 2007/Jan2008 copy of Stitch Magazine. I haven't done any freestyle machine embroidery for some time so please forgive me for the rather dodgy stitching, also not easy on teeny tiny slippers, they are about 7cm (3in) long.

There will be a round up of all the entries on the Cakeboule website for Valentine's Day.

365+1 - Liquid

Kit - Snickerdoodle Designs, Outside my Window
This was rather an opportune prompt as we have been having a bit of work done in one of our fields.  The bankings of this burn (stream) are getting washed away and previous attempts to make a bridge did not last through winter storms and the high volume of rain we have had in the last couple of years.  So we decided it was time to get serious!  The contractor came yesterday and placed these concrete pipes in the water and surrounded them by huge boulders and sub-base.  It's not quite finished yet, but hopefully this will mean better access to the rest of the field for the tractors which means that the field can be used for crops as well as grazing cattle.

365+1 - Interaction

DSD by Athena - Elegance

Here is my husband 'interacting' with his saxophone, I knew I would get a photo of this in here somewhere in the 366 days!

365+1 - Accessory

Coppercurls Designs - Denim Days
Hmmm, the theme for today is Accessory. Well, I have an awful lot of accessories, piles of costume jewellery, scarves, hats, you name it I have them in multiples!
