Newcastle

I've been on a little trip to Newcastle with some friends. I've blogged about the lovely food we had a the Blackfriars Restaurant over on Farmersgirl Kitchen but I thought I'd give you a bit of peek on here. The photo above is of Grey Street, with the statue of Earl Grey at the top of the hill.
and here are some of the amazing chocolate shoes and handbags in the food hall at Fenwicks.

  4. Wow, I just had a childhood flashback. Even though I'm in the U.S. I grew up in a subdivision with all English names and the main street was New Castle. I lived on Churchill, and we also had Westminster, Aberdeen, Wintergreen, Chelsea, Concord, and who knows what else. AND I went to grade school with a girl named Karen Fenwick! OK, I'm back in the present now. Sounds like you had a GREAT time!!! ♥

  5. A lovely picture of Grey Street. Quite nostalgic, I grew up and lived in Newcastle for years before we moved here. The chocolate looks fabulous.
